I am new to this forum having just bought the Land Rover and then last weekend I got my mirror clipped by white van man, this resulted in breaking the mirror glass.

I have read the other threads on here regarding replacing the glass and I am going to try later today when it is warmer as this seems to be important.

As there are no how to with pictures and I can't find anything on you tube, I have a question. Do I remove the round mirror clip that is still attached to the mirror, fit this to the replacement glass and then fit to the motor, or leave the clip in place and fit the glass to that?

Many thanks, Russell

Welcome mate. pop over to the introduce yourself thread before people become ratty at you :)

As I still had the old glass I thought I would have a go with that and it went on a treat, so popped it off and got the new one out, sprayed a bit of GT85 and the mounts, hooked it on the left side. Put on my welder's glove and applied pressure with my palm whilst spreading the pressure to the right hand side and hey presto...it is on.

Now I just have to order a new window regulator as I took the door card off this morning and have never seen anything so bent. On to the next job.
