Good afternoon guys, quick question for you, as you know I'm doing a 2 inch body lift on D1 v8. I have sorted all bolts (loosened ) and seat belt ties (awkward fcukers to do) I have removed bolts one side as per the threads on here. My question is how do I lift the body? Do I lift one side completely or in stages to put spacers in? Also where do I put 2 ton hydraulic jack? Do I use wooden beams 2 foot length to spread load? Do I raise jack on wooden beams for height
Please tell me as I don't want to fcuk this up.
Hope you all are OK
Many thanks
Dave

The shell flexes quite a bit so be warned!

Use 2X bottle jacks under the A posts with wood to spread load down the sill a little, do the bulkhead and sill mounts first, secure with nuts before doing the rest.

Have you stripped the interior too?

Have you made packers for the boot floor supports?

Hi dieseldog thanks for that, I've got the two inch floor spacers, I've stripped the boot out but not the front, should I strip it? I know there are two mounts under the floor with access via a plastic grommet. The a pillars are where the mounts under where my side steps mount on out riggers. So is it best to strip the front out?
