Horn?...........

Hi,

Sorry for the basic questions;

I've searches the forums; a bit of help, but no real answers.

1996 defender horn, how loud in db?
and what's a better, louder electric one? and can it fit in the same place? i.e between the grill and rad.

How loud? Not loud enough.

Fit air horns, with a relay. wont fit between the grill though.

Thanks for the replies; don't particulary want air horns, just a decent electric one, that's louder than the LR standard one.

Seen one in Helfords at around 115db.

The ones on early discos are a good loud "parp" rather than the pathetic "peep" of the defender jobby.

I'm fitting an old type OOH GAH klaxon. Very loud and at first they make people jump and say 'what the f--- was that' and then they laugh.

Thought of one of those, doesn't fit between rad and grill though.

Here's a question; does fitting a horn this big; Stebel Compact Nautilus Car Horn from Halfords Price £22.99

in front of the intercooler, have any noticeable effect on cooling?
