Have a look at this photo...

See the way the rear wheel has less clearance at the back than the front...is this normal???

I have big tyre so bought some extended arches but when placing them against the arch the wheel is almost touching the arch at the rear.

The tub has been off before by previous owner bit it seems to be back in the correct place - only small gap between tub and cab.

Would it be handy to secure the tub about 3 inches further back than standard?

Havent had this thing long so trying to tidy it as I go!

Thats assuming this picture is standard??????

Im just a bit baffled with this - another job that should have been easy!!!

Thanks for the response. I am even more confused now...well mines a 110 Hi Cap. So this is not looking normal for a 110?

Its just a bummer because I thought this would be simple. Only option I can see is to move tub back???

ha, yes thankyou!!!

Would be interested to know what way people have tackled this - from what I can see the only feasible way to make it central is to move the tub few inches back??? Really need to get the arches on as the wheels are sticking waaaaaaay out.

Im sure somebody has had to fit big arches to the hi cap.

And it really strikes me as odd if this is normal - why have a wheel not central in the arch??? And body cant really be positioned too far forward to make this happen as the cab is in the way. There is the usual 1/1 1/2 inch space behind cab.

put 110 hi cap into google and click on images , plenty of views including some with arch extensions

Yeah but couldn't find any good side shots of the ones with extensions. And couldn't find a really ascertain by google pics as all good side shots had smaller wheels. I suppose the 35x12.5's highlight it on mine. Google is normally my first step followed by searching forum threads.

Hopefully somebody with a 110 high cap will spot this thread.

Just seems so odd to me...funny seemed odd when first bought it but the wheels don't catch so actually forgot all about it until held the new arches to rear and thought...oh crap, tyre is about an inch from arch at rearmost.

Going to fiddle with this whilst waiting for cv bits to arrive for my other repair.

If I move the tub back 2 inches to centralise the arch do you think it will have any ill effects?

I'm thinking this will be the best way to get things in order.
