Hi all

Recently bought an old Frelander (1.8 petrol) after needing to get a new car, did a bit (not enough) of research an chose one which had already had the head gasget replaced, new clutch and hoped the IRD would be ok

Silly me, only 1200 miles later, the IRD gave up, so had to shell out as much cash again as I had paid for the car, to get it fixed, but ho hum, that's life I guess

Also had a split in one of the hoses, which I replaced myself

Anyhow, I love my Freelander, and especially since I now know I can have at least 12000 miles under the guarantee, I do need to change the rear dif oil, as I'm scared of anymore bills so any advice here greatly appreciated

Been offroading for the first time, with my cousin, last week in Wales and really had fun, wasnt as brave as he was though in his Defender, got to the point where I had to say no, I was probably being a bit of a chicken, but didnt want to do any damage, as this is also the family run around

Look forward to being part of the group

Ade
