Hi everyone,

I started this rather addictive association with defenders about 6 years ago when I bought a 110 SW, and have had great fun in it since, as well as doing a number of different mods.

I started with underbody protection, as well as Blindo wheels, and BFG alll terrains, this led onto a full external roll cage, and a light bar across the front. A winch, LED headlights, and numerous other little tweaks have followed.
Recently I have had a few problems, new fuel pump being one, as well as the injector wiring loom needed to be replaced, all interesting projects with much advice from my long suffering brother, who is very knowledgable.

Anyway my Landy is still very much a work in progress, but is no way a pristine vehicle being used for fishing, and off reading, as well as spending a few months of the year driving through saltwater beaches to and from a little hideaway in Scotland, so will need LOTS of Tlc as time goes by.

Hope you guys won't mind me asking too many silly questions from time to time.

All the Best,
Gary

Welcome to lz! :)

That all sounds great, good use of a landy. :) Myself I would give the saltwater a very wide berth! But its your motor.

I had it waxoiled by a well known outfit near Rugby 5 years ago, and he offered a 5 year guarantee. Just took it back a month ago, and he reckoned the chassis was good and clean, very little rust. He now offers a 10 year guarantee, so am happy to use his services.

The bottom of the rear passenger doors is suffering a bit, as well as a few other bits and pieces with the salt water, but I take that as a hazard of driving a mile across a beach/sea water to get home!

No further comment! :) But I still wont be taking mine anywhere near sea water.

Be careful posting about waxoil outfits. It has been a very heated topic of discussion before! ;)
