WORTHING WEST SUSSEX
Hi people, the names Pete & am living in Worthing on the sunny south coast 100ft from the Channel,
I have been playing with Land Rovers now for about 35 years & have so far owned a few, in fact since getting my licence, I have only owned Landy's of one flavour or another, my first was a 64 series 2 swb, then a series 3 swb followed with a 59 series 2, a couple of Range Rover classics & a couple of Disco 2 TD5's,.. my 59 I owned when I was working in New Jersey for a few years & have also taken a 68 Series 2a to Morroco & the Sahara for 4 months, I love playing with them off road but havent been very active at it for a few years, am in the slow process of getting my latest Disco ready to get back into it, been fighting a few electrical problems like they all have, but have it pretty reliable & sorted now, I am slowly getting the kit to make it a bit more capeable at off roading & as normal my list of 'Want's' is quite long. I have been meaning to join here for a while & have found lots of helpfull information already,... my Disco is my most modern one & they are a tad more complex than I'm used to, too many computers & fancy electrics, but the mechanical side isn't a problem,... thanks for letting me in & hope to milk ya brains as well as adding my tuppny's worth of knowledge if it's of any use, but sure there are many here that know a lot more than myself.....this is my latest, had it for about 4 years now & is slowly getting there,

Cool intro, I'm sure with that caliber of Landy history you'll be able to offer plenty of helpful advice too!
Welcome from me anorl!

Not unusual to pick on noobs on ere. :(
I know that, obvs, and the thread started by bostontar got so out of hand it had to be shut down, but I actooly feel sorry for this bloke.
It seems a shame to give the finger so hard to a bloke who was polite until picked on and has only ever owned LR products.
I must be getting soft!:(

Some peeps who join up ere need genuine help. Sadly some get a rough time, never to return.
