Hi Landy Lovers - I am loosing the power

I have a Discovery 2 TD5 and I am hoping for a little inspiration as to what is wrong with my Landy - hopefully someone out there has had or knows of a similar problem. Since Saturday my girl has had a few moments - were I loose acceleration/power but don't actually stop and a puff of smoke appears out of the exhaust. This has happened a total of 5 times so far. Can anyone point me in the right direction to look in, as a process of elimination. My apologies for jumping straight in like this with a question, but I need my girl to get to work and the pheasant season is nearly upon us.

Welcome, I'll have to guess what vehicle you've got but it could be a blocked fuel filter, blocked sedimenter or the turbo pipes delamininating

Hi Marmaduke, I have added Discovery 2 TD5 as an afterthought, pretty new to forums (typical blonde I'm afraid). I will pass your info onto our lad - I prefer pastry on my hands than dirty oily things, I did wonder about the fuel filter but apparently that was changed about ago 5 months when it got serviced but don't suppose it would hurt to check and rule out. I can only imagine it gave the car behind me a bit of a shock tonight on the way home, they definitely kept their distance after it happened.
