A great forum and source of information, thought it best to register as I have a feeling I may have many questions in the future.
I always wanted a defender and eventually got one a few years ago. A 1991 ex-military n/a 110 defender, noisy, slow and drafty and I loved it! I swore I would never sell but when times get hard things change?
Anyway I didnt think it was going to happen so soon but I have got another one. This time its a 1987 90 defender with a reconditioned 200tdi engine (luxury!) Shes a rolling project as I have to use her every day for work so will be interesting when it comes to working on her at weekends.
My wife has a Discovery td5 and my folks have a freelander td4. I dont have much mechanical experience but I do have a few manuals!
Also 1st time on a forum so this could be interesting.
1st question, I live near Swindon Wilts can anyone give me the best local places to go for new and used parts for both servicing and repairs?
