I am the proud owner of a 1996 Defender 90 in beautiful condition.
Purchased about a year ago from an enthusiastic driver who wanted to upgrade to a newer model. He bought a 2005 model and has regretted it ever since, much preferring the one he sold to me.
My Landi has run like a dream except for an occasional starting problem. I have looked at various posts on this site which usually mention an earthing problem. I have cleaned the earth connection from battery to gearbox and started every time, so assumed I had cured the problem !!
NO it is now sitting on my drive and refusing to start. Ignition lights and glow plug lights come on but when the key is turned nothing happens. There is obviously an intermittent fault, could it be the immobiliser? Any help would be gratefully received.
