Hi all, newbie with a question re suspension

Hello,
I have a 1998 P38 and the suspension keeps going up to the full height on its own. If I am doing over 30mph it does not do it or comes back down to the normal ride height once you get to 30mph.
Can anyone tell me if there are sensors that are causing this and if so where abouts are they and are they easy to replace? or could it just be a dodgy switch?
I have seen many threads that say their suspension goes down on the bump stops but cant find anything that advises about it keep going up.
