Hi all Newbie in need

Hi all. Newbie on here and in need of help. After having previous problems with my Td4 this forum has been a god save but now I need more. I have a a 2003 td4 freelander and my turbo has gone. I have purchased a recon one and have tried 11 yes 11 garages to have it repaired and all have said either too big a job or they will only fit a new turbo. These are local garages from family run to well established ones. I am not good round a tool box to the extent of fitting a turbo. Can anybody HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
