Hi, I think my Nanocom may have thrown up another issue with my Hevac - the internal cabin temp reading seems very high, about 25degC, compared with how it feels.... and I think this is why it is not heating the car up as quickly as it should (as the Hevac thinks the car is already warmer than the temp settings).

Having said that, the temp does change sensibly, ie increases/decreases as one would expect

I was wondering if somebody with Faultmate/Nanocom/whatever could confirm if the temp reading from the sensor is supposed to be the actual cabin temp, or if there is an offset applied in the Hevac software? I.e. does the temp reading you get from your Diagnostic tool appear to be the same as the actual cabin temp??

Would be good to confirm that my sensor really is out before changing it.....

Cheers,

Jerry

The cabin sensor should read the actual cabin temperature or thereabouts, it did on mine when I just checked your other problem (I've emailed you). I'd just been on a run, cabin temp started at 18C and dropped to 5.6 in the time I was playing. You need to check that the fan that draws air across the sensor is running, they get blocked up with fluff.:D

Thanks Keith, got your email! And also for confirming my suspicions that my cabin sensor reading is out.

The fan is running (I can hear it) and there is no fluff, so I am guessing a new sensor is in order.....

Island 4x4 don't list them - anybody got any ideas where to get one, other than L/R themselves?! Would rather get new if possible

Cheers

I've no idea how to do it, but I'd pull the bugger out and give it a good clean and check all the connections before lashing out on a new one. You'll have to get it out to swap it anyway.
