Hi all!
Our names are Jai and Rob. Both of our dads either currently have (or had) a Land Rover at some point in our lives... and it stuck from there! As well as a pair of avid Landie fans, we study Third Year Press and Editorial Photography at Falmouth University, UK.
Together, we have created Rovers and the Owners – a publication that combines our love and the community’s love for Land Rovers. Featuring images from our own projects in both 'magazine' and 'photo-book' styles, and interviews conducted at various locations around the UK. We are lucky enough to have some images and words sent in by the community, too.
Now, we'd like to do an OPEN CALL for anyone who would like their Name, Landie Model & Year listed in our publication as a mark of recognition and appreciation for so many who make the Land Rover community welcoming, knowledgeable, and inspiring. Essentially, it's a big thank you from us!
We have worked our way around events such as the Kingsley Cafe Cotswolds Meet hosted by the Land Rovers of Devon club, and Tea on the Tailgate Cornwall. By speaking to many Land Rover owners, from all walks of life, we have become thoroughly appreciative of the grit that Land Rover owners have built and the inclusivity of the surrounding community. Whether you're driving a 2025 Defender or a 1955 Series One, it's safe to say we have been positively astounded by the level of respect found amongst all.
The stories we have collected give readers who are unfamiliar a new insight into the many roles and experiences that have become synonymous with the name Land Rover and its patrons, and for the patrons themselves, we hope that our work serves as a memento of their pride and joy.
