Hi All

After having finally got the FL through the MOT, I am now faced with the job of changing the centre prop shaft bearings. I have been quoted £80 + VAT to do the job but told with a spanner and a hammer i could do it myself.

Can anybody advise ....

Also, if it is a job that is possible "on the drive" can anybody explain the process please.

Thanks

Ant

80 squid+ is a very good price, sometimes the bearings can be b*stards to get off the shaft.
Some good tools and some scaffold pipe/box spanner is essential for fitting the bearings, access to a ramp and bearing press make it a doddle.
For that price I probably would be tempted to have them do it if I didnt have the proper kit.
