Currently restoring an early 90 with 300tdi engine and rear axle. I'm working from the back forwards. All stripped down, rear brakes, half shaft removed (oil looked to be in perfect condition).
The calipers look like they've been at the bottom of the sea for thirty years, the discs are well grooved. It all needs replacing. I've found this on ebay:
LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 1 300 TDi NEW REAR BRAKE DISCS, PADS FITTING KIT, DISC SET | eBay
Am I right to be wary? Britpart quoted me at £48+VAT for the discs alone although they were the fancy grooved ones. What do you all suggest?
Also, looking at suspension and bushes. Would like to do polybushes or equivalent - recommendations?
Suspension - possibly standard or 2" lift, not decided yet but the Terrafirma kit looks to be popular. Again, recommendations please
