help needed please

Hello,
series 3 petrol, just had engine out and did rear oil seals, no leaks now from there, its been 3 weeks since i put engine back with a new clutch plate also, problem of a knock coming from sump area and a small whiring noise from gearbox the whiring noise goes when i press clutch in but the knock doesnt, only knocks on idle. any pointers.
