Help needed Bonnet won’t close.

I’ve gone to close the bonnet today and the male pin on the underside is not catching to close. The locking mechanism appears to work fine and the cable is right and opens and closes the clasp. I’ve tried holding it open with pliers and it still won’t close. Wd40 everything and tried adjusting the screws which hold the mechanism in place and still no joy.

I’ve tried turning the male part on the bonnet but it’s stick fast. Any other suggestions or does anyone know of a garage local to Stourbridge whom could help please.

Get some spray grease for jobs like this. WD not a lube. Free the screws holding latch so it can just move. Shut bonnet and if it catches release with care and tighten screws now it is centred.
