Hello!

I really need some advice... so, i recently realised my brakes needed doing, (ok, disks were falling apart) apparently there was also signs that the callipers ( i think)have been getting extremely hot.

The day before i had the pads and disks changed the Hill Decent Control and TC light came on (no flashing just permenant amber) they are still on now. Took battery off for half hour ( not sure why seemed like a good idea?)

Any ideas- some one suggested i may have melted the sensors as brakes were so knackered?

S...O...S !
Thanks Kerri x

So I take it you have changed said pads and disc's??? New pads = new sensors in same box.

There is also a brake pedal switch that causes this. Do a :search:

HI Skynet! I have had the pads and discs changed,

Not sure about sensors... i think i have abs sensors but there were no other sensors in the box or attached to pads...

Forgot to say i have a 2002 2.0 diesel freelander td4!

Just been out and have no break lights

The ABS light is not lighting up just HDC and TC

The sensors are fitted to the hub, nothing to do with the disks and pads.
As you have no brake light it will probable as stated previously a faulty brake light switch, common problem and cheap easy fix.

Brake sensors in box with pads???? Where do you buy your spares from. I will have to start using them if they give **** away.
