HELP 2.5 bmw p38

Hello I'm new here from Devon just about to look at 2.5 diesel Range Rover with BMW engine(£1,500) it's a m reg 1995 lot of history. I no nothing about them, used to have a 2.5 TD shogun that lasted 9 years but it needed welding for the last 2 MOTs, was told to get rid ,sold no problem now lost with out 4x4, have Porsche 924 for fun, but no good for much else.So I need to know what to look for? I'm Low on CASH live on pension but reasonable with the tools. OH & can TALK A LOT :blabla: :blabla: Stuart

If you're low on cash then don't buy a P38. Buy a Disco.

if its a p38 up for £1500, theres probably something wrong with it. I wouldnt touch it. Decent P38's start at around £3k. You would be better off with a disco. Easier to fix and not a lot of electrics to go wrong. Get a 200tdi or 300tdi and you can't go wrong.
