Hello to all - new member here

Hi all
I've just acquired an 09 Defender 110 TD5 here in Galway ROI (Republic of Ireland). I've owned a couple of others over the years, a Series III V8 and an early model Disco V8. I'm newly retired from the rat race and want to start a new hobby/career as a blacksmith. The Landy is to transport heavy steel objects around the country hopefully and will replace our ageing Ford Ranger 2.5 TD double cab truck. Its not on the road yet as I bought it as a part complete project. The body/chassis is like factory new but the running gear and interior is a complete mess. Looks like its either been stolen or just treated badly with radio ripped out, wiring everywhere, door cards not fitting and bits of trim missing. Still I have a couple of months to sort it out before the truck goes. I anticipate needing a bit of help but will come up with a plan first.......

Welcome to another Defender owner. Seems you have an oddball there, best of luck. Spent a couple of days in Galway many moons ago. It never stopped pouring down but the pub and craic were first class. Cheers.

Its not changed much - thats why i moved here! I'm from Birmingham originally, worked at LR Solihull 20 years ago..
