Hello from the Midlands

Hi all
New to the forum
I'm Matt 21 from a small town near Leicester
Currently in the market for a disco 2 always loved land rovers since I was a kid and attend many Land Rover shows
Bored of driving my current car and now I have a few years no claims accumulated I finally want to own a Land Rover
Have posted in the general chat section asking for buying advice

Some good deals to be had on them, especially v8s, although at your age insurance may be prohibitive!

Chassis and body rust, electronic issues, engine probs would be the main ones to look for.

Insurance isn't too bad have a very good post code and pay around £600 on my a4 s line 2.0 tdi and looks around the same on a disco
What's reliability like? I used to do shed loads of motorway driving but no longer have to so want to get something I want

If you can insure, there are some very nice v8 autos, they don't tend to get much hard use, mainly bought new by old men with golden handshakes, or those wishing to tow horsebox, etc. Cheap now due to fuel economy everybody wants diesel.

Mine is just an old thing, bought off private sale at roadside. Just over 1k, 105,000miles from new, years ticket, it drove well and not too rusty.

Changed all fluids when I got it, never had any issues, it just moted again!
