If anyone out there has had experience in squeezing a V8 into a series, I would love to hear from you. I'm currently in the final stages of fitting a RRC 3.5 EFI into my FFR 109. I had to modify the frame and engine mountings, adjust the length of the prop shafts, but the beast is finally in place now. The next major task is to modify the firewall and bench sheet metal to accomodate the larger engine and gearbox. Then I have to rewire the whole thing to cope with 24 & 12 Volt electrics. I want to keep 24 Volts for the winch and all the 24 Volt parts, but run the engine off 12 Volts. That will mean two alternators and three batteries, but seems like the best option unless I want to ditch my 24 Volts Warn winch and replace all the 24Volt accessories.

Get in touch if you have any questions - ideas...
