Hello from Kent

Hi.

Just signed up so I thought it only polite to introduce myself! I don't own a LR, and in fact don't own any type of 4x4. I have a Lotus for fun in the summer, but have been thinking for some time now that a cheap 4x4 might provide some off-road fun and also double up as a family wagon and station car so I've been looking off and on at S2 Discoveries, but haven't yet seen any that fit the bill (a bit of comfort like heated seats, plus a few off-road parts already fitted like snorkle and rock sliders). To be honest I don't really know what to look for, what to avoid etc so I'm hoping this is the place to find out. Apologies in advance therefore for the questions I'll probably end up posting!

get yourself a disco 1 300 tdi, 7 seats, great fro towing, and good fun off road

So, a quick update. Bought a Disco 1 '97 300tdi auto. Got it from Walton Motors in Cranleigh who had a good range of cars and offered to fix most things that needed doing (waitng for them to fix a few things). It's kitted out for off-roading although I've yet to test that. Any recommendations for off-roading/greenlaning locations in Kent or East Sussex gratefully received.
