Hi Everyone and many thanks for accepting me.
I've had a few Land Rovers on the past including a Series 1, Discovery, Range Rovers, pimped Defender and being a glutton for punishment still have a 1969 88" Series 2a called Dolly for some reason I can't remember.
Dolly is nearing the end of some major surgery, custom chassis, 3.9 Range Rover engine and gearbox, coil suspension, power steering and brakes and defender axles. I apologise in advance if this offends any purists but this is now going to be my daily drive and I'm getting on a bit so need something a bit easier to drive than a standard series.
I'm just in the process of working out what I can do to carry a motorbike on the back, then armed with a tent and the dog I thought I'd shove off for a few months while the girlfriend is busy working.

Hi and welcome!

The Landy sounds like a great project! Any chance of some pics? We like pics!

Hello and welcome :)
there are tow bar mounts that take a motor bike across the back
Thanks Brian, the bike is a BMW RnineT scrambler so not the lightest thing and I'd be nervous with it on a single point such as the ball. I'm thinking that if I design a fold out hydraulic platform like a two section tail lift I could just roll the bike on, strap it down and lift it?

I have seen ones that mount behind the tow ball and have a ramp from the side but i dont know who makes them as i am not a biker but just remember seeing them.
