Hello All!
I've just bought myself a Facelift Freelander 1 with the KV6 and thought I should say Hi!
The last Landy I owned was an 88, back in the early 1980's, back before we had internet resources like this forum, and when Land Rovers were simple enough that you could fix them with a few tools, a few parts a bit of mechanical aptitude and some common sense!
This time around I needed a vehicle that was comfortable on the highway (I'm not as tough as I was 35 years ago!) and the Freelander seemed like a good bet as I already have an MGF and the Blackbox diagnostic gear to go along with it. Less than a 200E investment will get me the Freelander software license, and the F has given me a taste of K-Series engines and the peculiarities of MGR products so I feel pretty confident about keeping my new Landy alive.
I'm looking forward to having some fun with my new toy!
And here is my old 88 (So long ago it's in black and white!)
And last, the MGF. It's a 1997 VVC
