Hello from Belfast

Hi there, just thought I would say hello and add a few pics of the (barely) rolling disaster I have signed my life away to for the next 2 years or so. It is a 1992 200tdi county that has clearly seen better days. Complete with a spare chassis (which needs a bit of tlc but is better than the rot on the original) and portfolio of documents and past bills. Apparently it is called Tugger. Ahem. Anyways I will endeavour to do a galvanised chassis up rebuild and I have no fixed idea of the final look, but the Urban Snatch Rescue vibe is a current thought. I was told by John (the guy who sold it to me and a proper gentleman) that the engine had been refurbished 30000 miles ago and, indeed it seems to be the only good bit. I will pop a pic or two up as I go along and I dare say, ask for the odd tip. Cheers for now... Mark

Welcome. Now then, are you going to build the house first or prioritise the Land Rover?

Actually it was John, the guy who sold it to me, who is building the house, he's a bricklayer and is building it on his own, with his wife labouring for him nights and weekends. Amazing guy who has done a few land rovers in his day. So he had no time for this project and sold it on. £1500 for the 200tdi and the chassis.
