Bought myself my first 4x4 a couple of weeks back, I must be mad or brave but I went for a 99 Freelander.
It's in top condition for it's age, engine replaced 10k ago, and just had the centre diff mount replaced. So far I've replaced the OEM stereo with a Alpine CD head unit and CD changer and repaired the HDC which was just the broken wires to the switch. Only 2 problem at present to sort, sunroof motor gear is knacked, the sliders each side are fine and looks like they have been replaced so I'm thinking the motor was just left, the only other issue is the drivers central locking locks but won't unlock, only by the key, had brief mess about with it but can't get the lock mech out, any hints gratefully received.
