I say fanatics but I mean I'm kind of becoming a fanatic.
I never wanted a land rover ever! In fact I used to slate them off as unreliable rot boxes.

Then 20 years down the line the wife wanted a caravan to take the kids away for cheep weekends. So I'm thinking Toyota Land cruiser or something Japanese, bomb proof and reliable...... I never ever thought that she would wind up wanting a 2005 td4 manual se in black. She won the war and I backed down, she'd found a tow vehicle for the right dollar.... So that was my first land rover force raped into my life by my wife.. We went on a few caravan holidays the rover sempt to pull and drive OK.

Then one night, we're all tucked up in bed, there's an all mighty bang, horn screaming, alarm pinging off. Wtf was that, oh dear... Some drunk driver had wiped out our tow vehicle, axle bent, wheel up into arch fuel everywhere, diff oil everywhere it was quite literally shoved 2 car spaces down the road. We we're due to go away 4 days later too so the panic set in.... What next? another freelander was online for sale, reasonable price low mileage but a td4 automatic this time..... I pursuaded the dragon that shed be fine in an auto. I won that war so it became our new 2006 freelander sport to tow with.

I've got to say, I've fell in love with her, not the wife but the freelander. Its totally changed my outlook on land rover and I certainly would have another....
