Yes i know they are not great, but mine only goes on full or off.

What i want to know what controls the speed !

Is there a relay or something

Thanks for that, i'll have a look at the weekend.
It's getting stupid ! I'm putting on more clothes to in the landy.

It's warmer outside !:D

mine only goes full on or full off too! 'owever full on is one notch above 2!on 2 and its off!....so I guess its full off or full off with the exception of full on at 1.75?!

anyway it only makes it fookin colder with it on, even with a two hour drive it never gets anywhere close ta bein balmy!fookin rovers!;)

Bloke I work with was always moaning about how cold his series 3 was and how it was always damp inside but then an electrical fault set it on fire and he moaned about that too. Too cold too hot theres no pleasing some folk.

Hi m8, I had a 300tdi like that, it should have 4 ratchet settings, either check the control switch (left of your clocks) or just turn the heat down to a comfortable level with the inside right switch innit

So let me get this right.

I can get full on or full off................and i can get cold ( warm )or F**king cold !:scratching_chin:

Why did i buy a land rover. :bounce:

mine gets really nice and warm after not very far. Dnt know what you are all on about, mine works a treat.

No seriously!

same ere in me 20 year old 110 - even when i have to defrost the windscreen it's teeshirt comfy inside within 5 miles

tis suprising how many peeps have never considered flushing their heater matrix - hint hint

dunt forget that there's only ever going to be so much heat you can get out of a diesel engine so you'd have far better results from trying to prevent what heat you do have from escaping by ensuring yer door and window seal are in good condition

My 97 Defender heater works a treat, too well, have to turn it down after a while because it gets too hot

but i did drain the old coolant out, refill it with clean water and let a chemical cleanser eat away at the corrosion for a while

after i rinsed the cleanser out i refilled it with VW lifetime fill coolant (G12 plus plus) and it's worked perfick ever since.
