Heater fan

Not sure what to make of this one, the fan works only on full or very slowly on II with the AC on! and not at all with the AC off. Also can only get cold air from the dash vents. It may also be worth metioning the black sphere thingy that has a vac line from the inlet attached to it has only the vac feed from the inlet attacehd. I have been told this has somthing to do with the heater, I can however direct air from the screen to he foot wells when moving (I assume this air is being forced in by forward motion)

hi zaphod, i had same thing on my 93 classic, i spayed wd40 in the front sliders on dash and worked them back and forwards this did work for a time ,so knowing the problem then went and got contact cleaner haven't had a prob since ps if you take one to bits looks the same as volume control on old radios hope that helps.
