I don't know if anyone else has had this happen ,

A month or so ago my indicators stopped working and after a trawl through
Posts found that I could be the hazard warning switch as this seems a common problem ,,anyhow purchased new switch (Britpart) plugged it in and hay prestow all was working again.

Today while driving in to work indicators started messing about then stopped working again altogether.
I unplugged the hazard switch and bridged the two connectors to make the indicators work , so see if it was the switch again .. and yes indeed they worked so am presuming its a dodgy switch..
Has anyone else had trouble with switches only lasting a short time. I know it's britpart but expected it to last more than 2 Months.
Is there something else that could t he switch to fail so quick.
I have now ordered a Lucas switch ......

We've all been there - bought britpart and regretted it. Sometimes you get away with it, sometimes you don't. The hazard switch has a reputation for failing anyway.

Actually the BP hazard switch is usually a reliable item, it is other brands that can let you down and even the Lucas ones were known to fail very quickly.
I looked into this when replacing mine 6-years ago and did not hesitate on using the BP item, no problems since.
