Has anyone converted a TD4 rather than buy a Freelander Commercial?

Hi All,
I want to use a Land Rover as a work van, (carry tools, etc) but Freelander Commercials seem expensive and hard to find with reasonable mileage. TD4's seems much more available. Has anyone converted one for use instead of buying a Commercial? I'm wondering what modifications were done.

i.e. I'm thinking removing the back seats and installing a steel bulkhead behind the front seats, privacy glass and metal bars over all rear windows, perhaps painted plyboard over the very rear windows for added security.

Anyone done anything like this themselves. Any advice/problems encountered?

Decided to buy a BMW estate instead. Land Rovers seem to have a terrible reputation for reliability according to every website I've seen! Thanks anyway and I'll be sure to give any of you a lift to the nearest service station.
