Well, I eventually joined Landyzone.
Killa Joules is my little brother, I know a number of people on there.

I moved to the U.S.A. in october 2013, shipped my Series II and 7/8ths over the atlantic in a big steel box.

I've yet to see another around here. But I get friendly greetings wherever we go, lots of people come over in parking lots to ask about it, although I get tired of explaining that it's not a jeep.

Newly rebuilt engine with Turner performance head makes it a great little runner, but i dare not go on a freeway, because, even with the overdrive, we're hard put to it to go over about 55 mph, I think my throttle linkage needs a tweak...
And we're fully topless, despite the fact I bought a most excellent canvas truck cab from Undercover Covers. Thanks Steve, it looks and works great. But right now, I'm just soaking up the sun, while listening to all my friends back home suffering rain and cold.

I was on the committee of the YLROC (Yorkshire Land Rover Owners Club) for a long time in various roles, most recently a few years as Club Rep to the ALRC.

Would be happy to hear from old friends.

And new.
There's a Land Rover Club in Houston, I've yet to make it down there, because, to where they meet, it would be a two-hour round trip in a Landy.
Any Landroverists around Spring/The Woodlands? Hello?
