Hi Have just signed on. own a 2001 v6 just clicked over 200000k.
No major problems but yet to come I guess.(apart from replacing the drivers side rear passenger window mechanism what a pita to extract.
had it since december 2016, when I drove it overland from victoria to west australia, with some detours for sight seeing.
covered about 5000 k in a week with no hassles except couple of times had trouble geeting 96 octane fuel, learnt to never drive past a petrol station in this wide brown land it might be the last one for a while.
quite a few don't carry 96 or higher just the 91 and the car runs like crap with that, the previous owner had been using it and took ages to burn the remnants off , used to stagger along after hard take off and cough and splutter for a couple of minutes.
also replaced the tyres, btw the new suzuki jimny has the same size tyres 195x15x80.
A friend just bought a new jimny and bunged wide wheels/tyres so had these up cheap, got the 5 for 220 bucks about 110 quid with about 50 kilometres on them so almost new.
currently fitting a towbar had it for a while but never got around to fitting as got a 2002 suzuki grand vitara with the full hi/lo auto and 2.7l motor.
next problem is wiring it, the l/r ones are apparently solid gold wire with platinum fittings and priced to suit.
i have been playing with cars for years so have plenty of experience. can solder and join wires no problems.

also need some advice on removing the side panel to get at the wiring, need to know if the anchor shaped plug things that hold the panel on are they screw in or just lever out?
thanks
