Got there, spent most of the day.
Didn't see any of the "famous" motors from this group. I got told on the
Plasma stand to avoid Martyn if I ran into him as he was "In a stinker of a
mood when he arrived". I hope he gets home without having to rebuild
Grumble again.
I went looking for a few things (winching chains, access ladder for a disco,
Tirfor). Came back with none of the above but with an uprated intercooler.
Now I just have to figure out if Twisted Performance were doing boost
increases/fuelling changes or just intercooler replacements - couldn't say
I noticed too much difference in performance on the way home and I'd expect
a 25% power increase to be noticable, especially in a gutless wonder like
my Disco.
I also came away with a Disco Owners Club membership. Hadn't planned on that
one either.
Still need to get myself a ladder and some headlamp guards. Everybody at the
show kept sending me to Simmonites who couldn't help due to not knowing
what they were selling and tried to sell me a set of rear lamp protectors
for a Defender which would be useful if a) I didn't already have a set of
rear lamp protectors and b) I had a Defender.
Thankfully the weather wasn't nearly as hot as last year, although I got
stuffed by arriving just at opening time when it was still quite cool and
then walking around the site in a jacket when the temperature went up.
