Going on a trip

Morning

This will be the first trip out covering more than the usual 40 miles or so. Over to Grassmere. Got so much stuff in the land rover I think i should have hung out in the expedition section for a while. Can't imagine what the wife would take if we were going a really long way.

I have packed tools in case. finders crossed.

All yerl need is yer breakdown cover card.

It did well, Pulled well over the pennines, 60 most of the way (apart from the huge sections of 40 due to road works). It felt a lot smoother at 60 in top than it does at say 35 in third to 40 in 4th which is kind of lumpy. I've got a new fuel and air filter coming so they might help?

Stopped at Keswick coop and emptied the entire shelf of veg oil into a trolly. Got some funny looks! I said I was bathing in it.

Went up a big hill. Drank beer and yes indeed, ate toasted cheesies.
