Hi there,

I have just changed my master and slave cylinder on my freelander td4 2002. Its a bit of a nightmare the first time around, especially when you don't know about all the hidden bolts.

I have been driving my freelander for about 2 weeks now, since fitting the new parts and the clutch pedal is staying down at the floor. I replaced the master cylinder with a new again last week. The clutch is doing the same thing. I have checked all the threads on freelander clutch problems and it appears to me that this is a manufacturing problem. Can anyone tell me if landrover have admitted to this and doing something about it or must we as consumers continue to suffer. I know the parts are manufactured in France, but I don't know which company. If anyone has their details could you please pass it on to me.

Has anyone done a remodification on the master cylinder. i.e. putting an old fashioned reservoir and seals that can be changed.

Regards,

Glenn

Go and ask them in the Gaylander section pal, your more likely to get an answer in there.;);)

:welcome2: by the way, it is customary to introduce yourself in the section which is imaginatively titled "introduce yourself", but never mind your here now.
Hope you've got a sense of humour:p:p:p

Apologies for not introducing myself.
I’m from South Africa and have been driving my freelander for 5 years. This is the first time I have had any trouble with it. I have taken it off road. Have helped a couple of Toyota hi-lux out of trouble. Nothing better than a landi.

Now that I’ve introduced my self, Grimmer, maybe you can give me an answer, if not, stop wasting my time and F…… Off.
Kind regards,

But I’m from Sith Afreeka and I'm a bit thick, I have been dogging in my Gaylander for 5 years, and love a bit of bumfun. This is the first time I have had to ask for help, I usually just suck my mechanic off and he sorts stuff out, but he's ill at the moment. I have taken it off road in several local car parks. Have sucked a couple of Toyota hi-lux owners. Nothing better than a landi.

Now that I’ve introduced my self, Grimmer, maybe you can give me an answer, I am dead important, so I will not search or be civil, I'm a busy boy with all this dogging I do, so unless your into gay sex in a gay car, stop wasting my time and F…… Off.
Kind regards,

Edited for accuracy, and the fact that I'm bored, hungover and have to go to work in a couple of hours:D:p
