Wonder if anyone can help as I am having a brake issue with my 110. Am unsure if I should seek mechanical help.
When going down a steep hill, my handbrake light comes on although I have not applied handbrake. Manual says - " If the light remains on or illuminates whilst driving, seek qualified assistance before continuing".
Any advice would be helpful.
Cheers

If you've definitely released the hand brake I reckon the wire or switch on the handbrake is shorting out. If you take the middle or drivers seat out an the bit of tin under it off you can get at the back of the handbrake quite easily an have a look at it. You could also rummage about underneath it to save the hassle of taking bits apart but it won't be so easy. If your absolutely sure the lever is releasing the brake you could just ignore it which is by far the easiest route.

check your brake fluid level, as it may be low to bring on the brake warning light (its not just the handbrake warning light)

Ooooooooo I don't know wot you mean, I'll have you know I'm a happily married gentleman, An if the young lady needs help I'd like to get in there first before all the ne'erdowells an letches come along and make improper remarks.

An are you sure the warning lights are the same, there are two brake related ones, but seeing as niether work on mine I can't comment about which do what.

With regards to the light issue, mine came on the other day so did a check on all the brakes as i have just bought her and found o/s/f calliper leaking fluid so had to rebuild them, often had lights on as some of the brakes might be worn down so worth checking them out too.
