Hi all

I have recived some money to buy some tools to aid in my restoration projects, i have a list of things i would like to buy but would like some advice on the tools.
  1. I want to purchase a compressor for general use, tools, spraying and shot blasting. I have the following shot blasting gun Clarke - SB3 Gritblast Gun - Air Line Equipment & Air Hose - Machine Mart I am looking to purchase this compressor Sealey SA22503 Direct Drive 3HP Air Compressor 50 litre - eBay Air Tools Compressors, Garage Equipment Tools, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 30-Sep-07 20:31:00 BST) will this compressor be man enought for the shot balsting?
  2. I also would like to purchase a Gunson gas analizer and Engine Analyser. are they any good.
Any advice on the above would be great.

Cheers
Rob

The compresser should be up to it, it will be better if you get a regulator for it. Do you realise how much mess the gritblast gun will make, and have you priced up the grit for it?

I intend to use a tarpauline to minimise the mess, the grit is not too bad from machine mart. what sort of pressure would you set the regulator to?

Mine blast gun stops being effective at about 60 psi, the compressor cant cope with more than a few minutes at any more than pressure, I borrowed a 6 CFM compressor thinking it would be miles better than mine but it was just as bad.
