gearbox problem

just comeing home from the pub pulled away from a junction and lost my drive! it will work in 2 wheel high 4wheel high and low but not in 2 wheel low! at least i think i got that right!! do anyone have any ideas what it could be??? oh i have a series 3 88 2.25 petrol

When you engage Low Box you get 4WD, you cannot have 2 wheel low unless you've free wheel hubs that are'nt locked. Sounds like the transfer lever dropped out of high box and went to Neutral. Did you have to re-ingage the Red lever?
