Right then, bell housing apart and tonight I'll put in the new clutch fork :) (hope this is the easy bit ...) and push the gearbox back into place, do I need to use gasket sealant between the bell housing and how about exhaust where it connects to the engine ( I still have the original metal gasket) ?. The car is a 98 Disco 300 Diesel.

Cheers
Al

No sealant needed between engine and gearbox.

You may well get away with reusing your metal exhaust gasket, but they are not expensive to replace. A thin smear of exhaust assembly paste is not a bad idea, but you need far less than you might think.
