Hi Guys

As the title says I get a fumy smell in the cab of my 300tdi def 90 for a second or two after giving it a bit of a boot.

the rear pipe of the exhaust has been shortened so it exits under the tub it points down and all the soot appears to exit and be hitting the rear axle going along with a 2" lift wouldn't think anything would come in plus I have been driving it a while like this and not noticed it before my Mercedes sprinter exits underneath and that far more enclosed then this so pretty sure its something else.

most recently changed the top pipe from intercooler as that looked like it was leaking around the joints and thought it may be making its way through the bulkhead or through the heater etc. .

its now happening more often any other suggestions? sometimes i think there is a slight drop in performance but not much. cant see anything obvious under the bonnet
