This is a picture I’ve just taken of the Diesel fuel fill pipe leading into my tank. Any ideas? I assume that the fill pipe or the connecting section needs renewing.
It made me think that the rear diff was leaking and I only noticed this after doing an oil change.
Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yes and I forgot to say. She is an 03 Freelander 1 pre-facelift Td4.

Check and see if that hose clamp on the hose ha rotten and split. You may also wanna pull the rear seats up, open the hatch to the top of the fuel tank and check if it’s leaked from the top top as it looks like it’s wet above the fill hose in the pic.

Ditto. The fill hose looks like it might absorb leaks from higher up.

The common leak is the sealing ring around the fuel gauge sender float. As above, screwed on plate under rear seat carpet. If leaking top of tank will have pools of fuel in.
