Right so the fuels been getting out of my mini petrol tank (just under filler), thought it was the metal lines as they were basically dust, so swopped them out for rubber which solved the leaking out of the fuel line, thought i would check it all before i put the tank back in place. to discover that its also leaking from return pipe back into the pump 
so got more farting about tomorrow to try and get the metal part between pump and rubber hose off and find another one on a sunday , so my question is..... As the seal pipes joint is rusted onto the pump does any one have any suggestions of how to make sure i don't brake the pump?
But there is a good side to this story, never seen a chassis so solid at the back
