Hello all, i have a 1999 TD5, the other day when (ironically) we were filling up the fuel gauge went right to the bottom and the fuel light is permanantly on? i have tried various things... i have run auxilary wiring from the pump unit to the gauge to see if the wiring was earthing or anything, i have visibly checked the pump and sendor unit and cleaned all of the sendor contacts (by removing the pump) i have checked relays... i really am now head scratching! The manual keeps on about a "multi function unit" this seems to link the fuel light and gauge, i just wondered if this is faulty it could sent the wrong message to the gauge? any help and advise would be very much appreciated.
