just reading me haynes , seems quite a simple job , all i'm worried about is having to bleed it afterwards , it says - drain off water and sediment until clean fuel flows from tap - failure to do so may result in the fuel system requiring bleeding , if dont manage to do the tap up quickly enough , how do i bleed the system

the bleed screws on top of the IP - dunt worry about it just change yer filter and turn it over till it starts as it's self priming - might take a little while longer to start than normal as it pulls fuels through

Aint it got a prime pump on block just behind fuel pump bein a 200tdi?
Mine has and you can just slacken the pipe on the injection pump side, prime it using hand pump till fuel comes out tighten pipe union and robert is your mothers brother

put the filter on and turn the engine over till it starts, and if the battery is great put jump leads onto another battery to help, that way no diesel but where its supposed to be

yer english is crap, along with yer ability to read and assimilate the other posts in this thread

I did this the other day....Haynes says all his priming stuff but i just bled it and no water or gunk came out, swapped me filter, tightened the bleed screw back up and started it up....worked straight away.
I was concerned about all that priming stuff especially when I couldn't find the manual priming pump.

it's about 8" back towards the bulkhead from where you you undid the bleedscrew - if your looking directly down onto the engine bay it's just a sticky outty strip of metal (the lever) so it's easy ish to miss
