Sadly it's time to part company with it, it's up on a 10-day auction,
mostly to try and get people to contact me to buy it conventionally, I
don't see how people could buy a car on ebay, too risky! If anyone is
interested, come and have a peek, North Dorset area.

Anyone have any experience importing/exporting similar vehicles to the
States? Your TDi looks pretty much like exactly what I have been
looking for. Alas, you are Over There and I am Over Here ;)

I bought a disco and a SIII. In each case, I was prepared to walk with my
cash if the description was significantly wrong, but in each case it wasn't.

I don't I'm afraid, but I believe some others in this group do,
however if you buy it and ship it to the states, how will I pay it
monthly visits to stroke its steering wheel lovingly?

I bought my P38 on there, no problem.
As long as you are careful, and check feedback out carefully, you should be
OK.

We can most likely work something out. Want to buy a house near the
coast of northeastern Florida? Two separate garages for all of the
toys. Maybe you can let me leave some of my motorcycles there and you
can visit with the TDi every so often ;)

Or you can visit it in Belize in about 8-10 months. I'm looking for
something that I can tow behind a diesel motorhome as we explore the
Yucatan portion of Mexico.

There are all sorts of possibilities.

*Two* garages? I've got two toys (three if you count the defender)
and one transport already and intend to get a Series 1 to replace the
Defender, so I suspect that two garages won't be enough ;-) Mind you
better than the one that I currently have.

The thought of it being on the other side of the planet just doesn't
bear thinking about!

I'm sure there are much more suitable trucks, mine's not worth
considering, really!

Well at least it would get to see more of the world than is likely
with me, I suppose that's some consolation, it would be character
building for it and good for its education. Are there good schools in
the area?

Not sure what the schools are like in Belize or the Yucatan, but I
suspect that at the very least it would come back knowing a second
language.

Here in northeastern Florida it appears that our younger kids are at
least getting an education that makes them almost as literate as you
would expect from a developing nation. Almost. Most of the time. But
there are exceptions. Oh, never mind. It seems that most kids getting
out of high school these days cannot find England, Mexico, or the
Middle East if they had a globe in their hands.

While selling anything via eBay you need to be certain you don't
encounter a scamming prospective purchaser like the sociopath quoted
above and described in detail below. He has a lengthy history of hiding
behind dozens of aliases for nefarious purposes beyond the harassment
and abuse he transmits to numerous newsgroups, typically by
cross-posting to maximize his malicious activities.

He sweetheart scams elderly females who seek companionship in hope that
he may enrich his useless life via their financial means (that he had
assessed while getting in their good graces). One recent prospective
victim fortunately broke off their relationship after his forceful
demands got too suspicious and he flashed his pistol in her presence in
an obvious attempt to put fear of injury or death foremost in her mind.

The guy is an abject loser and a general screw-up who puts on an air of
toughness yet his numerous mistakes and dyslexic errors would be
comical if he wasn't an alcoholic sociopath with no regard or respect
for anyone, especially after he scams from anyone whatever he can
obtain to enrich his scumbag life.

miscreant - "PigSty PirateJohn" Wesley Gilmer III - who hides
behind dozens of aliases to flame, harass, and infringe upon other
people. It is unknown how many more aliases the scumbag hides behind.

Take notice of the "NNTP-Posting-Host: 209.177.232.245" data in the
headers of messages he has transmitted. He posted those messages via
his place of employment, Moffitt Corporation in Jacksonville Beach,
Florida. What a ****-hole that must be to allow an abject loser
like him to post all manner of malicious and racist content all day
long.

209.177.232.245 = Moffitt Corporation

Moffitt Corporation
1351 13th Avenue South, Suite 130
Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250

The messages whose headers are transmitted via "NNTP-Posting-Host:
24.129.77.189" are those he typically spews away from Moffitt
Corporation, usually from the house owned by his facilitating
girlfriend Deborah Lynch rather than that of his current wife
Claudia, aka "Joey.

The latest development is that "PirateJohn" Gilmer has posted
messages that originate from the 216.253.112.18 domain which is
registered to Venus Medical Communications, 1351 13TH AVE S,
JAXVILLE BCH, FL, 32250 which, not too surprisingly, is a very
close neighbor of Moffitt Corporation whose address is 1351 13th
Avenue South, Suite 130, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250!
