Time has come to say 'au revoir'... He's sat on the drive ever since
the MoT and really needs someone to put him to use. Reality is, it
won't be me (at least not in the foreseeable future).
So, I'm open to offers. I'd much prefer it to go to someone I 'know',
although ebay will be a last resort I suppose.
It's red (although it's not the best paintjob). Structurally it's
bang on - no advises or faults on the MoT, which is valid til June 06.
The rear crossmember was professionally repaired two years ago -
there's no rot hiding behind the overriders or anywhere else.
V8 is brilliant (and it should be, the amount of time Warren has spent
on it!). The fuel tank was replaced a year or so ago, along with the
filler and the entire fuel system (filters, pump etc etc). It will
pull 70mph without any difficulty.
Tyres are Petlas - maybe two years old but have covered under 1000
miles.
Interior has been stripped and a very basic camper conversion done -
sleeps two. Bulkhead is out, but the interior does need some proper
work to complete the conversion.
Drivers door top is a bit rusty, but not too awful. Passenger side is
new and utterly solid.
Batteries are both newish and in good order. Starter was replaced a
year ago. Starts on the button without fail.
There are two faults I know about - second gear is hard to get on a
downchange, upchanges are fine. I've driven around it since I bought
it three years ago and it isn't a major pain really. The rear step
has been dropped once too often and the ally has split and popped a
few rivets. very fixable.
So - anyone interested? Truck is in South Yorkshire - I can supply
detailed pictures on request. I'd also welcome anyone's thoughts on
what it's actually worth! I know what I've spent....
