front wiper twitch

hi everyone, new member with 1st post here and looking at the problems it wont be the last
problem is front wipers don,t wipe, they just sit in park and twitch a bit , so power there and fuse ok so has my motor gone ? its a pre reg 07 but not new style with 18000 miles so its not like its had a lot of work to do.
anyone help !!??

It may be the wiper arm drive might be at fault, either failed or jammed, along with the motor possibly being duff.

cheers for replying, i,ve ordered motor from factors £50 + instead of £120 from land rover, can,t figure that out so stupid of lr. but thinking i oughta have got 2 as this seems common, all the years i,ve had cars i can,t remember a wiper motor going ! or am i being nostalgic ?

don,t believe it ! they can,t get motor until new year so i,ll be staying home this holiday.
if they,re hard to get does that mean theres a manufacturers fault causing a shortage ?

Latest news bought a haynes manual,£20 well spent. took off plastic caps, tightened spindle nuts, lovely jubbly! apparently they,re supposed to slacken so you don,t do expensive damage.
n.b. check your wipers are switched off before you turn on ignition in the frosty mornings.
